I bought this to remove a concrete shower pan and tile floor set in a mudbed for a bathroom remodel. This thing packs a punch and has a good heft to it. The tile setter that built the shower I'm working on apparently wanted the shower to remain standing should the house ever fall down but this gun has worked well in allowing me to get through the 2 1/2 inch concrete base using the pointed chisel tip. The gun itself is relatively quite, but the tip smacking the concrete makes some noise. Wear earplugs and eye protection at a minimum. The chisels I've used have rounded a bit and will need a good tuning when I'm done, but considering what it is hitting I think they are holding up pretty well.
I would recommend using this with a good size compressor if it will be used for a duration, I have a 3 gallon and it runs pretty much constantly, forcing me to wait for it to catch up. 80 - 90(max) psi is the range it works best in...delivers harder blows and will pulverize whatever it is touching.
Overall a great tool! Seems very solid and the internals are replacable. My only complaint is the handle is so smooth the gun can be hard to grip, but I think some athletic tape will solve that problem. I realize there are cheaper zip guns but I have other projects and I bought this one because I want something that will last.
