I bought the Black & Decker Hammer Drill because I needed to drill a few holes into concrete. I have an old small 3/8" Black & Decker drill that has been a great drill for 28 years. This new drill had enough power to drill holes in concrete and the hammer mode worked O.K. I only drilled 6 holes into concrete and used it a couple other times in regular drilling mode for some small wood projects when it just quit working. Nothing burned out, blew up etc. - just stopped. Then it started turning a little and intermittently; wouldn't go full speed. I figured out the switch is messed up. I couldn't get any warranty work done on it (don't even get me going...) and I couldn't even get a new trigger switch to fix it myself. I ended up having to buy another drill and threw this thing away. Big disappointment. Black & Decker must have gone overseas and gotten cheap. Too bad. On a positive note, my new Milwaukee Hammer drill hasn't given me any problems at all. My verdict: put the money you'd spend on this product toward a better quality drill - you'll be happier in the long run.
